The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is a network of local clubs from around the country and throughout the world that share a common purpose: to better their communities through volunteer service.

GFWC enables its members to focus on the issues directly affecting their communities and provides each club with the tools they need to be successful in their endeavors.

Some of these tools include…

• information that enables local clubs to become effective grassroots advocates on public policy issues affecting families and communities
• publications, program guidelines, leadership and training materials and technical assistance available exclusively to GFWC members
• a network of women who form lasting friendships locally, across the country and around the world

GFWC clubs center their programs around six main departments:

Arts
Conservation
Education
Home Life
International Affairs
Public Affairs

These federated departments serve as guidelines for our monthly meeting topics and other events throughout the year.

How do we fit into the GFWC?

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is divided into Regions. The GFWC Florida is located in the Southern Region. Other States in our region include: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina.
The Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs (FFWC) is geographically divided into fourteen (14) districts. The GFWC Hollywood Women’s Club is located in District 13.
